Bride and groom walking into the evening light

Weddings in Italy

A wedding that feels like coming home.

In the monks' gardens beneath the Basilica of Assisi, or in a private villa by the sea. We take care of everything around the moment you say yes.

Check your date Discover the estate

Not a venue. A place, and a team.

A wedding in Italy should not feel like an event in a hired room. It should feel like a few days in a house that is yours: friends arriving for dinner the night before, a ceremony among olive trees, a long table as the light goes gold, and breakfast together the morning after.

A place we love for weddings

Borgo Antichi Orti, Assisi

On the slopes below the Basilica of Saint Francis, the old orchards of the monks have become a small village of gardens, stone houses and olive groves, with Assisi rising above every photograph.

Our services, wherever you marry

Everything around the moment you say yes. You just enjoy it.

In Assisi, on the Amalfi Coast, on a lake or in the Tuscan countryside: one team takes care of every detail, so that you and your guests can live the days without a single worry.

Planning and coordination

One wedding planner from the first call to the last dance: suppliers, timings, rehearsal, and the day itself.

The ceremony

Symbolic in a garden or on a terrace, civil or religious in the town hall or church nearby: we explain the documents and prepare the setting.

Food and wine

Chefs who cook with the produce of the region you choose, a welcome aperitivo, and wines from the hills or the coast around you.

Flowers and design

Florists and stylists who dress the place without hiding it: arches, long tables, candlelight.

Music

A string quartet for the ceremony, a band or DJ for the night, with curfews and sound rules checked in advance with every venue.

Photography and film

Photographers and filmmakers who know the light of the place, at golden hour and after dark.

Beauty and wellness

Hair, makeup and treatments where you are staying, so the morning is calm.

Your guests

Rooms at the venue and nearby for everyone, transfers, boats and excursions, children's entertainment and the days around the wedding.

Questions couples ask us

How many guests can Borgo Antichi Orti host?

Up to 200 guests for the ceremony in the Hortuli gardens and up to 150 for dinner in the Garden or the Botanical Lab. Smaller settings suit 45 to 50 guests.

Can our guests stay at the estate?

Yes. Twelve residences on the estate can be reserved for your wedding party, and we book rooms nearby in Assisi for everyone else.

Is the ceremony legally valid?

A symbolic ceremony in the gardens can be combined with a civil or religious ceremony in Assisi. We explain the documents you need for your nationality and help you prepare them.

When should we book?

Saturdays from May to October are the most requested and are often reserved a year or more in advance. Tell us your date early and we will hold it while you decide.

Can we marry in a villa instead?

Yes. We also work with private villas by the sea, in Tuscany and on the lakes whose owners welcome weddings. We check guest numbers, music and curfews for each one before we propose it, and every service on this page is available there too.

We are wedding planners. Can we work with you?

Yes, and we would love to. We work alongside planners on venue scouting, villas and estates, guest accommodation and local suppliers, with the discretion your clients expect. Tell us about your next wedding using the form below.
