Most owners fill and open their pools from May to October; if you travel at the edges of the season, ask whether the pool is heated.
A few pools are saltwater, softer on skin and eyes; the listing will say which, and we can confirm the details with the owner.
Lake Trasimeno has shallow, calm water and small beaches around its shores, a pleasant change from the pool on a hot afternoon.

Questions before you choose
Are the pools heated?
Some are, most are not. Unheated pools are comfortable from June to September; in May and October a heated pool makes a real difference. Heating is sometimes charged separately, so ask us when you enquire.
Is the pool shared with anyone?
No. Every villa on this page has a pool for your party alone. On some estates the owner lives in a separate house on the land, which the listing will state.
When is the pool season in Umbria?
The pool season normally runs from May to October. June, July and early September are the warmest months for swimming; in high season villas generally rent Saturday to Saturday.
