A former Capuchin monastery founded around 1566, set in a 60 acre estate with its own winery above Lake Trasimeno.
The villa
A restored 16th century estate of ten suites across a main house and a separate Library House, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and a forest reserve, with views over Lake Trasimeno. A staff of about 25 runs the house.
Inside
The main house, served by a lift, holds nine en suite suites around a cloister, a grand living room with fireplace and grand piano, a lounge, breakfast room and kitchen; three suites add a double sofa bed, one an attic twin for children. The Library House has Suite 10, a living room with Renaissance fireplace, billiards, dining room, private cinema and wine cellar.
Outside
A 13 acre walled garden from the 16th century with formal gardens, lawns, orchard, vegetable garden, a reflecting fountain and a winter garden. The heated pool measures 10 x 25 m. Tennis, bocce and croquet, a spa with sauna, hammam and treatment room, and a gym complete the grounds.
Location
On a hill about 1.5 km from Passignano sul Trasimeno and its lakeside restaurants and shops. Perugia is 30 km, Cortona 23 km and Perugia Umbria International Airport 39 km.
