Many of the best houses on Lake Garda sit on the hillsides rather than the shore, and that is where the pools come into their own. From a terrace among the olives, the water in the pool seems to run straight into the lake below, and the afternoons are cooled by the breezes that sweep down from the mountains.
Each of the ten villas below has its own pool. At Cavaion Veronese, in the hills of Ceriel, a glass and wood sauna sits beside an infinity pool facing the lake. At Marciaga, a lush garden with a pond leads down to a pool terrace with lake views, and elsewhere on the lake an 18th century house has an orchard around its pool, in a two acre park of ancient botanical species.

Pools usually open from May to October, and the warmest swims come in July and August.

Can we use the pool in October?
Pools usually stay open until October, but unheated water cools quickly in autumn. We ask each owner about heating and the closing date for your stay.
Are the villas close to the lake shore?
Some sit right on the water, others on the hills with views over it. The page for each villa shows its setting, and we can tell you how long the drive down to the lake takes.
How do we check availability?
List your dates and up to five villas in one request. Each owner is contacted directly and you hear back within one working day. July and August stays normally begin and end on a Saturday.
