Summer on Lake Garda, from your own villa
Lake Garda is Italy's largest lake, and in summer it feels almost Mediterranean. Lemon houses and olive groves line the western shore, the vineyards of Bardolino run down to the water on the east, and in the north the mountains close in and the wind draws sailors and windsurfers out each afternoon. Verona, with its Roman arena and summer opera, is an easy drive away.
The villas below make the most of the lake's long views. At Garda, a Liberty style residence from the late 1800s sits right on the water with its own beach, pier and infinity pool. Above Torri del Benaco, a stone estate from the 1600s has a pool looking over almost the whole lake, and at Marciaga a 20 m saltwater infinity pool lies among 40,000 sq m of ancient olive groves.

The Arena di Verona stages its opera season through the summer, and the villas on the eastern shore are within easy reach.

Questions before you choose
How do we get to Lake Garda?
Verona airport is closest to the eastern and southern shores, often under an hour away. Milan Bergamo and Brescia also serve the lake, and trains between Milan and Venice stop at Desenzano and Peschiera.
Is the lake warm enough for swimming?
Yes, in summer the water is pleasant for swimming, especially in the shallower southern half. Villas with a private beach or pier make it easy to swim straight from the garden.
What is the minimum stay in summer?
In high season most villas let Saturday to Saturday. Send one enquiry for up to five villas and we will confirm availability, price and minimum stay within one working day.
