Wedding villas in Umbria, among vineyards and lakes
Umbria keeps its celebrations close to the land. Guests arrive along roads lined with cypress and olive, dinner is laid under a loggia as the valley turns gold, and the view at the end of the evening is of hill towns lit along their ridges rather than of another party. The green heart of Italy suits a wedding that feels like a long weekend among family.
The seven villas below are those whose owners accept events. They include an 11th century castle with its own restored church, a former Capuchin monastery with a winery above Lake Trasimeno, and an estate of a main house and five cottages that sleeps 43 guests. Each owner sets rules on guest numbers, music and curfews, and we check them before you commit.

Early autumn brings soft evening light, cooler nights and vines heavy with grapes, which makes September and early October a favoured season for Umbrian weddings.
Black truffle, lentils from Castelluccio, Sagrantino from Montefalco and olive oil pressed nearby give a wedding menu that speaks plainly of the region.
Many couples marry in a church or town hall in Assisi, Perugia or Todi, then return to the villa; both ceremonies need paperwork, so start early.

Questions before you choose
Can we hold the reception at the villa itself?
Yes, at the villas shown here, which accept events. Each owner sets limits on guest numbers, amplified music and finishing times, and some ask for an events fee or a longer stay. We check these rules with the owner before you confirm.
When is the best time for a wedding in Umbria?
May, June and September are the favoured months: warm days, green or golden hills and evenings that stay pleasant outdoors. July and August are hotter inland, so ceremonies usually move to late afternoon.
How do we enquire about several villas at once?
Choose up to five villas and send one request with your dates and guest numbers. A member of our team replies within one working day with availability, price and the owner's rules on events.
