Wedding villas in Puglia, masserie and sea views
The masseria, the fortified farmhouse of the south, was built to hold a whole community within its walls, and it still suits a wedding well. Courtyards take long tables, olive groves frame the photographs, and the evening can move from an aperitivo under the trees to dinner by candlelight without anyone leaving the estate.
The 43 villas below are those whose owners accept events. They include a 16th century Salento masseria with a Gonzaga watchtower and 1,500 ancient olive trees, a 19th century masseria above Ostuni with sea views and stone walls, and a tufa stone villa above the sea near Polignano a Mare. Each owner sets rules on guest numbers, music and curfews, and we check them for you.

May, June and September give warm evenings without the peak heat of July and August, and a softer light for photographs.
Apulian wedding dinners are generous: raw seafood, orecchiette, grilled meats and local wines, often followed by the pizzica, the region's traditional dance.
Bari and Brindisi both serve the region, so guests from abroad can usually find a direct flight; choose whichever lies closer to the villa.

Questions before you choose
Are weddings allowed at every villa?
Only at the villas shown on this page. Even there, each owner decides the maximum number of guests, whether amplified music is permitted and when the party must end. We check these rules in writing before you book.
Can guests stay at the villa?
The larger masserie here have up to 14 bedrooms, so the couple and close family can stay on site while other guests book nearby. Ask us about the numbers each house allows overnight and for the celebration.
How far ahead should we enquire?
For a summer wedding, a year ahead is sensible, as popular masserie commit event dates early. Send one enquiry for up to five villas and we reply within one working day with availability and the owner's conditions.
