A wedding in Positano has a setting few places can match: the town falling in terraces to the sea, the majolica dome of Santa Maria Assunta at its centre, and boats crossing the bay below. A private villa lets you hold a small celebration on your own terms, with dinner on a terrace and your closest guests under one roof.
Only eight villas here accept events, and each owner sets limits on guest numbers, music and the evening curfew; we check these for you before you commit. Among them are terraced gardens with an infinity pool reached by private lift, a former noble residence with 750 sqm of garden and no long climb of steps, and a Baroque house with chandeliers and a full spa.

Civil ceremonies take place at the town hall and religious ones in church; many couples then hold a symbolic ceremony and reception at the villa.
Positano is built on stairways. A villa reached by lift, or without a long climb, makes life far easier for older guests and caterers.
May, June and September offer warm evenings without the heat and crowds of August, and a softer light for photographs.

How many guests can a villa host?
It depends on the house and the owner. Some accept intimate gatherings only, others larger receptions. Tell us your numbers and we will check each villa's rules on guests, music and curfew before you choose.
Can we marry legally in Positano?
Yes. Couples from abroad can hold a civil ceremony at the town hall or a religious ceremony in church once the required documents are in order. Your planner or consulate can guide you through them.
