A celebration on Capri begins with the setting itself: guests arriving by boat, the Faraglioni behind the vows, dinner served as the lights of the Sorrento Peninsula come on across the water. Holding it in a private villa keeps the day intimate and entirely yours, with the ceremony, the dinner and the toasts moving between terrace, garden and pool rather than between venues.
Only nine of our Capri villas accept events, and each owner sets rules on guest numbers, music and curfews, which we check for you before you commit. Among them are a noble family's summer house on Monte Solaro with two acres of tiered gardens, a late 19th century house on the hill of Tiberius with an infinity pool facing Vesuvius, and a house with three pools some 300 m from the Piazzetta.

Guests, florists and caterers all arrive by sea and move through narrow lanes, so suppliers who know the island make a real difference.
Capri values calm evenings. Owners often limit amplified music, so an acoustic trio may suit a terrace better than a full band.

Questions before you choose
How many guests can a villa host?
It depends entirely on the house. Each owner sets a maximum for events, as well as rules on music and finishing times. Tell us your numbers and we check every villa against them before recommending it.
Can we marry legally on Capri?
Civil ceremonies can be held on the island, and symbolic ceremonies can take place at a villa where the owner allows it. A wedding planner can advise on the paperwork for your nationality.
