Amalfi, weddings and celebrations

Wedding villas in Amalfi

A wedding in Amalfi borrows the drama of the place: a cathedral at the top of a great staircase, lemon terraces falling to the sea, and a harbour where guests can arrive by boat. Celebrating in a private villa keeps the day intimate, with dinner on your own terrace rather than in a public room, and your closest guests sleeping under the same roof.

The villas below accept events, each on its own terms. A 17th century farmhouse on a clifftop near Amalfi has its own frescoed chapel. Above Atrani, 12 frescoed bedrooms can house much of the wedding party, and a 150 m² terrace floored in blue majolica lies just 270 m from the centre of town. Every owner sets rules on guest numbers, music and curfews, and we check them for your date before anything is confirmed.

Owner rules come first

Guest numbers, amplified music and finishing times differ from villa to villa. We confirm each in writing before you plan anything else.

Moving guests calmly

Roads are narrow and parking is scarce. Shuttle drivers and boat transfers from Salerno or Positano keep guests moving without fuss.

Ceremony and paperwork

A civil or religious ceremony in Italy needs documents prepared in advance. Allow several months, and speak to your planner or consulate early.

Questions before you choose

How many guests can a villa wedding in Amalfi host?

It depends entirely on the house and its owner. Some welcome a small dinner, others a larger reception. We ask each owner about guest numbers, music and curfews for your date.

When is the best season for an Amalfi wedding?

May, June and September are favoured for mild evenings and long light. August is hot and busy; October is softer but less certain. Villa pools usually open from May to October.

How do we start?

Choose up to five villas and send one enquiry with your date, guest numbers and the celebration you have in mind. We reply within one working day and then take up the details with each owner.
