On Capri, walking is not a compromise but the natural way to move. The lanes of the old centres are largely pedestrian, lined with whitewashed walls and gardens, and a house within about 1.5 km means the Piazzetta, the boutiques of Via Camerelle or the church square of Anacapri are a stroll away. Late at night, when taxis thin out, that short distance matters more than any view.
The villas below keep town close without giving up privacy. One stands some 300 m from the Piazzetta with three pools, one indoors beside a Turkish bath; another has a heated pool terrace above Marina Piccola, 750 m from the square; in Anacapri, a historic Caprese house has been reworked in natural stone and antique majolica.

Capri town is animated and elegant; Anacapri, higher up, is quieter and more residential. Choose the centre that matches your evenings.
Cars cannot reach many houses. Porters and small electric carts carry bags through the lanes, so pack for the last few hundred metres.
From the Piazzetta, a gentle lane leads to the Tragara belvedere facing the Faraglioni, a favourite walk as the sun goes down.

Questions before you choose
Is the walk to town hilly?
Capri is steep, so even a short walk may include slopes or steps. We can describe the route and gradient from any villa before you decide.
Can we walk from the port?
Take the funicular from Marina Grande up to the Piazzetta, or a taxi or bus to Anacapri. From either centre, porters can take your bags to the door.
What is the minimum stay?
In high season villas usually rent Saturday to Saturday; in spring and autumn shorter stays are often possible. Send up to five houses in one request and we reply within one working day.
