Positano
A Baroque house in Positano with crystal chandeliers, gilt framed art and a full spa around a heated indoor pool.
The villa
A Baroque style house 194 steps above the sea in Positano, over three levels among orange, lemon and mandarin groves. Jewel tones, gilt framed art, crystal chandeliers and inlaid ceilings give it the feel of a private museum.
Inside
The entrance level has a formal living room onto the main terrace, a dining room, a professional kitchen with stone fireplace and pizza oven, and a study with fireplace. Above are two king size master suites with sitting rooms and en suite showers. The garden level has two king size doubles and a single, each with private bathroom. Two guest bathrooms.
Outside
Below lies the spa: a tiled, heated 8 by 3 m pool with counter current and waterfall, a Turkish bath, sauna, Jacuzzi with oxygen therapy, contrast showers and a massage room. Outside, a terrace with an antique tiled fountain, a loggia and gardens look over Positano to Capri.
Location
About 10 minutes on foot from the centre of Positano, up 190 steps; a public lift from the Amalfi Drive reaches the property from 8 am to midnight. No car access. Sorrento is 16 km, Amalfi 18 km and Naples Capodichino Airport 61 km.
