Easter is when Positano wakes from winter. Shops and restaurants reopen, the first boats return to the beach, and Holy Week brings processions and church bells through lanes that are still quiet. Across Campania the table turns to pastiera, the Easter tart of wheat, ricotta and orange blossom, and to lamb for Sunday lunch.
Spring evenings can still be cool, so the villas worth choosing now have warmth built in. Holy Week is observed with processions across the Sorrento peninsula and the Amalfi Coast, most solemn on the evening of Good Friday.
The sea is still around 16 °C at Easter and outdoor pools may not yet be open, which makes a heated indoor pool especially valuable.
Easter moves every year and villas fill quickly around it, particularly those with heated pools or sheltered terraces.

Will everything be open at Easter?
Most of the town reopens in time for Easter, though some beach clubs and boat services wait until May. Ferries run fewer departures, so a private transfer is often simpler.
Are outdoor pools open in April?
Outdoor pools usually open from May to October, and heating is not always available. If a warm swim matters, choose a villa with a heated or indoor pool and we will confirm the details with the owner.
Can we book fewer than seven nights?
Outside high season, owners are often flexible on the length of stay. Send us your dates for up to five villas and we will reply within one working day with what each owner can offer.
