The villa
A masseria among vineyards and olive groves in the countryside near Manduria, designed by a London based architect. Vaulted stone ceilings, original fireplaces and rustic furniture sit within whitewashed walls and restful whites and beiges.
Inside
The 80 sqm main house, on one floor, has an open plan living and dining room with fireplace and modern kitchen, a double sofa bed, a king size double and a twin room opening to the garden, sharing a bathroom with bath and shower. A late 19th century trullo holds a double with en suite shower; a second dépendance a double with en suite bath.
Outside
A saltwater pool with a paved, furnished poolside among lawns and olives. An outdoor kitchen with island, pizza oven and barbecue, a dining area under a pergola and a poolside shower room. A 200 year old firepit, and a playground with treehouse, slide and swing hung from an ancient olive tree.
Location
In the countryside 7 km from Manduria, heart of Primitivo wine. Francavilla Fontana is 19 km, Taranto 34 km, Porto Cesareo 36 km and Brindisi Airport 59 km.
