The villa
A historic countryside estate in the Itria Valley, restored with local stone and traditional Apulian craftsmanship. Earthy tones, rich fabrics and artisan furniture sit beneath stone vaults and wooden beams, within an 11,000 square metre garden.
Inside
Nine double bedrooms, eight on the ground floor and one upstairs with a very large private terrace. Seven have their own bathroom, one a heated Jacuzzi for four with antique brass fittings; a suite is carved into the rock. Two further bathrooms open off the kitchen. A stone vaulted lounge and wine cellar rests on the bedrock.
Outside
Terraced gardens of olive, almond and pomegranate trees and Mediterranean herbs rise to an infinity pool of 13 by 3.3 m, heated on request, with a hot tub for eight, a sauna and countryside views. An outdoor kitchen, wood fired oven and barbecue serve long dinners outside.
Location
In quiet countryside between Cisternino, 6 km away, and Ostuni, 12 km away; a shop and café are 3 km off. Martina Franca is 15 km, Alberobello 26 km and the sea at Savelletri 27 km. Brindisi Airport is 49 km.
