The villa
A historic house at Settignano, in the hills above Florence, overlooking the city and the Arno valley. Nine double bedrooms sleep 18, in rooms of peacock blue, ochre, terracotta, olive green and dove grey. A lift links every level; a housekeeper lives on site.
Inside
The ground floor has two halls, an arcaded internal courtyard, a lounge opening onto the gardens and four double or twin bedrooms sharing two bathrooms. Upstairs are a large living room with a furnished terrace, a formal dining room, the kitchen, and five bedrooms: one en suite, four sharing two bathrooms. Each floor has a guest bathroom.
Outside
The gardens unfold as a sequence of outdoor rooms: a cypress avenue, a broad lawn once used as a bowling green, a small rocaille cabinet framed by holm oaks and, behind the house, a French style parterre with statues and urns. The swimming pool measures 12 by 6 m.

About 750 m from the village of Settignano, 3 minutes by car, and 16 km from Florence. Fiesole is 7 km away, Greve in Chianti 31 km. Florence airport is 14 km away, Pisa airport 96 km.
