The villa
A hilltop castle built in 1210 as the court of the Val d'Elsa, later turned into a noble mansion. The square brick tower and defensive walls survive, alongside a 13th century chapel to Saint Bartholomew with its own crypt.
Inside
Ground floor: living room with fireplace, a marble staircase, a kitchen with terracotta floors and beams, a dining room opening onto the courtyard, a guest bathroom and a double en suite. Upstairs, two doubles, one with a balcony, and two twins, all en suite, most with Jacuzzi tubs. The medieval tower holds a separate double suite with its own roof terrace.
Outside
From the garden a staircase leads down to a 10 x 5 m pool framed by lawn and an arcaded loggia. The former lemon house is now a sitting room with six arched windows over the countryside.

On a hill about 5 km from Castelfiorentino. Certaldo is 14 km, San Gimignano 25 km and Florence 39 km. Florence airport is 36 km and Pisa airport 65 km.
