The villa
A late Renaissance country house in the hills southwest of Florence, with high painted ceilings, vast windows and graceful lines. Antique pieces and vintage hand painted ceramics furnish rooms spread over three floors.
Inside
A grand entrance hall with a painted ceiling leads to two living rooms, a dining room with open fireplace and a kitchen. A broad staircase rises to four doubles and a single. On the lower ground floor, a further double and a lounge with a 75 inch screen and a pool table. Five bathrooms: three private, one shared, one on the lower floor.
Outside
A lawn, olive avenues and statues line the walk to the chapel, lit at night. The 12 x 6 m pool faces west, with loungers, covered reading nooks and outdoor dining. A covered gym, a bocce pit, a swing for children and a barbecue complete the grounds.

In the Chianti hills 16 km from Florence, about 19 minutes by car from Porta Romana. San Casciano in Val di Pesa is 8 km, Greve in Chianti 26 km and Siena 65 km. Florence airport is 23 km and Pisa airport 74 km.
