The villa
A historic residence above Sorrento, once home to the Duchess of Serra Capriola, whose guests included Maxim Gorky and Princess Anna d'Aosta. It stands in a hectare of flowering gardens with its own vineyard, and every room looks over the Bay of Naples.
Inside
Three suites and one double, all with sea views. The largest suite covers 150 square metres, with walk in closet, living room with fireplace, majolica bathroom and a terrace facing Sorrento and Vesuvius. A 60 square metre suite with whirlpool bath opens onto a patio; another has a living room and walk in shower. The double has a private terrace. There is also a Turkish bath.
Outside
A 10 m pool with a furnished poolside area, a barbecue and traditional pizza oven, a generous vegetable garden and an open air gym, all set among Mediterranean plants and flowers.
Location
About 2.5 km from the centre of Sorrento, a 10 minute drive from both Sorrento and Massa Lubrense. Two restaurants are within 750 m. Positano is 20 km and Pompeii 30 km. Naples airport is 55 km.
