The villa
A house built in 1954 for sharecroppers who still lived in nearby caves, restored in local stone and wood. It stands on a rocky spur above the Cava d'Ispica, a gorge up to 100 m deep, near the remains of the Sicano castle.
Inside
Six bedrooms, each with a private entrance and bathroom: a quadruple, two triples and three doubles. Five are on the ground floor, one on the lower floor with the lounge, dining room and kitchen. An independent studio with a double bed stands by the pool.
Outside
A pool, open from May to October, with sunbeds, umbrellas and a gazebo, set among grassy lawns. A hot tub for three sits a few metres from the cliff edge above the valley. There is a barbecue area with seating.
Location
Stone steps lead down to the necropolis of Calicantone. Modica is 10 km away, restaurants and shops about 5 km, and the beach at Pozzallo 15 km. Comiso airport is 45 km, Catania 115 km.

- Stays in high season usually run Saturday to Saturday. Shorter stays are sometimes possible, just ask.
- A 30% deposit confirms the booking; the balance is due 60 days before arrival.
