The villa
A former Benedictine monastery on a hill above Monterosso al Mare, once linked to the Cervara monastery in Portofino. The complex includes a church rebuilt in 1427, a cloister with round arches and a 15th century wine cellar converted into vaulted rooms.
Inside
Two wings joined by a covered courtyard. The main wing: small sitting room with fireplace, bright country kitchen, a double with bathroom, and below, a large living room with fireplace, a dining area and two bedrooms with private bathrooms. The other wing: a double with en suite shower and, upstairs, a double with a sitting area and double sofa bed. Four bathrooms.
Outside
A swimming pool on a large sunny terrace with views over the hills, furnished with loungers and bordered by gardens and shaded corners. A covered area serves for outdoor dining.
Location
On a hillside about 3 to 4 km from Monterosso al Mare and its beach. Levanto is 7 km, Vernazza 16 km and La Spezia 29 km. Pisa Airport is 115 km, Genoa Airport 94 km.
