Lustignano, Pomarance
A 13th century hamlet in 30 hectares of the Val di Cecina, its indoor pool warmed naturally by geothermal springs.
The villa
A medieval property dating to the 13th century, restored with contemporary design at 390 m above the Val di Cecina. Exposed beams, stone walls and high ceilings remain; the main living area was once the estate church.
Inside
The living area has a circular suspended fireplace and a dining table carved from a single tree trunk, opening to a kitchen, dining and lounge space. Six doubles, all en suite, including a master with king bed, cast iron fireplace, bath and shower; two rooms form a family suite. A cinema room, a gym and a wellness area with Turkish bath.
Outside
A south facing 10 x 5 m infinity pool with travertine patio, 20 m from the house. The 30 hectare estate has walking paths, roses, lavender, citrus and olive trees, and four gazebos, one with an outdoor kitchen and bar. The geothermally heated indoor pool has hydromassage and counter current jets. A helipad.
