The villa
A secluded house above the coast at Praiano, on terraces planted with palms, orange and lemon trees. Traditional arches, antique furniture and Roman fragments give the interiors their character.
Inside
Three French doors open into the living room, with arches, fireplace and TV. The formal dining room has a glass topped table and Roman columns; the tiled kitchen has a breakfast table. Downstairs, a long hallway links six doubles with en suite showers and terrace doors. A 25 step stair climbs to a tower with two doubles sharing a shower room.
Outside
A large terrace lined with white columns carries the pool, heated on request, with loungers and sea views. The shaded patio has an outdoor lounge and dining area; the main terrace adds a pizza oven and barbecue. There is an outdoor shower, and the gardens step down over several levels.
Location
The entrance is a few steps off the main road, less than 1.5 km from the centre of Praiano. La Gavitella beach is a 10 minute walk down a stepped path. Positano is 7 km, Amalfi 10 km and Naples Capodichino Airport 68 km.
