Large villas in Tuscany for family and friends
When three generations or a circle of old friends travel together, the house becomes the destination. Tuscany suits this better than most places: its estates were built for large households, with long kitchens, loggias for shade and enough land that nobody hears the late conversation on the terrace. The coast gives the younger ones a beach; the hills give everyone else a reason to linger over lunch.
Every villa below has six bedrooms or more. There is a castle near Castagneto Carducci with 10th century walls, a chapel, a 22 m pool and full staff; a 1930 classical palazzo 30 m from the sea at Forte dei Marmi, with its own spa and fenced beach; and a cliffside villa in Castiglioncello with a circular seawater pool and a path down to the rocks.

Tuscan food is made for sharing: cured meats, pappardelle, a roast for everyone. A private cook for an evening can often be arranged; we ask on your behalf.
Villas sit outside town, so groups usually need two or three hire cars or a driver. Pisa and Florence airports have the widest choice.
In historic houses rooms vary in size and bathroom layout. Ask for a floor plan before allocating them, particularly for grandparents and small children.

Questions before you choose
How many people can a large villa sleep?
Each listing gives bedrooms and bathrooms. Villas on this page start at six bedrooms and some go well beyond 10; we confirm exact sleeping arrangements and any extra beds with the owner.
Which airport is best for a group?
Pisa is closest to Forte dei Marmi and the northern coast, at around 40 minutes. For Bolgheri allow about 1 hour from Pisa; for the Argentario, Rome Fiumicino is usually easier.
Can we ask about several villas at once?
Yes. Add up to five villas to a single request with your dates and numbers. A member of our team checks availability and price with each owner and replies within one working day.
