Sicily has always built for many people at once. Its country estates were made for extended families, workers and guests, and their courtyards, chapels and long terraces still suit a gathering of friends or three generations under one roof. Space is the true luxury here, and meals naturally stretch across the whole afternoon.
Every villa below sleeps a large party, with six bedrooms or more. Near Lentini, a 300 acre orange plantation adds a tennis court and an Orangerie for dinner. At Villasmundo, one of the island's historic villas keeps its own consecrated church and an enclosed Andalusian Arab garden. In the Modica countryside, a restored farmhouse is arranged around a stone paved baglio of 1,500 square metres, and near Trabia a botanical garden runs down to within 50 m of the sea.

Many rural estates are built around a baglio, a walled courtyard that once held harvests and now makes a natural place to gather.
A cook can be arranged at many villas, turning Sicilian classics such as caponata, sarde a beccafico and cannoli into a shared feast.
Estates are often rural. Several hire cars or a private driver keep the group free to split up and meet again by evening.

How many people can these villas sleep?
Each villa here has six bedrooms or more, and some estates have 10 or more. The number of guests allowed is set by each owner, and we confirm it when you enquire.
Can we celebrate a birthday or anniversary?
Many owners accept a private dinner, but larger parties with outside guests or music need their permission. Tell us what you have in mind and we ask on your behalf.
