The old city is flat and largely closed to cars, its walls form a broad park where small cyclists can ride safely, and the beaches of Versilia are a short drive away. In the hills, grandparents can read in the garden while the rest of the family swims.

Questions before you choose
Can the villa provide cots and high chairs?
Many owners can, and some pools have fences or alarms. Mention the ages of your children in your request and we will confirm exactly what each house offers.
When is the best time for a family stay?
June and early September are warm enough for swimming with fewer crowds. July and August are hottest and busiest, and villas then usually rent Saturday to Saturday.
