Family villas in Ravello, with room to roam
Ravello is a calmer choice for families than the busy towns at sea level. The centre is small and walkable, and the piazza in front of the cathedral is a natural meeting point for children and grandparents alike. Days can mix a morning on the beach at Minori or Maiori with long afternoons by the pool and an ice cream in the square.
The villas below have room for everyone. One offers a 16 m pool on a sheer cliff, a pergola patio and a playground, within walking distance of the town. Near Scala, a large house stands in a 4,000 sqm park with a 14 m pool and a sports court, while another has a kidney shaped pool in a garden of orchard and vegetables. For three generations together, a Saracen watchtower turned monastery above Atrani offers seven bedrooms and a private chef.

Ravello is built on a slope, and many villas are reached by stairs. Tell us about pushchairs or older relatives and we will advise honestly.
Maiori has the longest beach on the Amalfi Coast and Minori a smaller one, both a short drive down from Ravello.
Family equipment varies from villa to villa. List what you need when you enquire, and we confirm what each house can provide.

Questions before you choose
Are the pools safe for young children?
Pool fencing and depth vary, and cliff edge terraces call for attention. We check the layout of each house for families with small children before you confirm anything.
When is the best time for a family holiday in Ravello?
June and September give warm pool and sea days without the peak of August. For school holidays, July and August work well too, with cooler evenings up here than by the water.
How long must we stay?
In high season most villas rent for a week, Saturday to Saturday; outside it, shorter stays are often possible. Send one enquiry for up to five villas, and you will hear from us within one working day.
