Questions before you choose
Are Salento beaches suitable for small children?
The Ionian coast, around Porto Cesareo and south of Gallipoli, has sandy beaches with shallow water. The Adriatic coast is mostly rocky, with deeper water, and better suited to confident swimmers.
What should we know about the heat?
July and August are hot, often above 30°C, with strong sun. Plan beach visits for the morning or late afternoon, pack sun hats and choose a villa with shaded outdoor space.
How do we enquire as a family?
Send one request for up to five villas with dates, the ages of children and any equipment needed. We reply within one working day. In high season villas rent Saturday to Saturday; pools usually open from May to October.
