Spring may be the peninsula's finest season. In April and May the hills turn green, orange and lemon blossom scents the gardens, and wild flowers fill the olive terraces. The light is clear, the paths towards Punta Campanella and the Bay of Ieranto are cool enough to walk, and Capri, just across the water, is calm before the summer arrives.

Is spring warm enough for a villa holiday?
Days in April are often mild and bright, and May can feel like early summer. Evenings stay cool, so a fireplace or heating is welcome. Pools usually open from May.
Are ferries running in spring?
Yes. Ferries from Sorrento to Capri run all year, with more departures as the season grows, and connections towards Positano and Amalfi usually resume in spring.
Do villas still rent Saturday to Saturday in spring?
