Honeymoon villas on the Amalfi Coast
For a honeymoon the Amalfi Coast offers two moods. Positano and Praiano are about the sea, with boats, beach dinners and evenings watching the lights along the cliffs. Ravello, high above, is quieter and more contemplative, its gardens hanging over the gulf. Many couples divide their stay between the two, which a small villa makes simple.
The eight homes below have one or two bedrooms. Above Ravello, a 19th century house that was once a lookout over the sea has a pool and a grotto of cold water. Near Praiano, stone steps framed by bougainvillea climb to a pool with the coast spread below. In Positano you may sleep inside a 13th century watchtower.

When the day visitors leave, Ravello's piazza and garden terraces fall quiet. It is the finest hour for a walk before dinner.
Hire a small boat with skipper for a day of swims in the coves between Praiano and Positano, many reachable only from the sea.
Granita, delizia al limone and limoncello: the coast's lemons appear in most desserts, best eaten within sight of the groves.

Questions before you choose
Positano or Ravello for a honeymoon?
Positano for the sea and the evening life; Ravello for calm, gardens and views from high above. They are under an hour apart by road in normal traffic, so combining both is easy.
Is there a minimum stay?
In July and August small homes often rent by the week, Saturday to Saturday. In spring and autumn shorter honeymoon stays are more easily accepted; we ask each owner.
When should we enquire?
As soon as your dates are fixed. Homes for two are among the first to fill in June and September. Include up to five in one request and hear from us within one working day.
