The villa
A historic farmhouse near Treia, protected for its heritage value, its oldest part a 16th century dovecote. Swiss architects Markus Wespi and Jérôme de Meuron kept the exterior intact and reworked the interior in a minimalist style, with pieces by Vitra, Cassina and Philippe Starck.
Inside
Ground floor: a double living room with fireplace and home cinema, a professional steel kitchen, a dining room for 12, a fitness room and laundry. First floor: a triple and a twin. Second floor: two doubles with king size beds, one bathroom with tub, and a large study. A guest house adds a queen bedroom and a living room looking to Monte Conero. All bedrooms en suite.
Outside
A 5 x 12 m pool. A large terracotta terrace on the south side, under a wide pergola, with a dining table for 12 and an outdoor steel kitchen with grill and teppanyaki. One hectare of olive trees and a 360 degree view over the countryside.
Location
5 minutes by car from Treia on a good paved road, and 20 minutes from Macerata. Ancona Airport is about one hour away.
