The villa
A mid century house of the 1960s, restored to keep its original character, in three acres of woodland above Civenna. Original furniture, a Formanova table and a brass and cherry wood kitchen. Caretakers live in a separate apartment on the grounds.
Inside
The top floor living room has more than eleven windows onto the lake, a belly fireplace and a conversation pit. Six bedrooms: two king rooms with en suite baths on the entry floor, and four below, including one with a balcony and extra single and one opening onto the garden; two share a bathroom. A lower sitting room with its own coffee kitchen.
Outside
A 12 by 4 m pool with a children's section, a sauna for six and a bocce court. A lake terrace seats 16; a garden terrace has a barbecue and poolside dining. An organic vegetable garden, with views of the Grigna and the Swiss Alps.

550 m from Civenna, a ten minute walk through the woods, on the Bellagio peninsula. Bellagio 7 km, about 15 minutes by car. Lecco 27 km, Como 33 km. Milan Linate airport 72 km, Milan Malpensa airport 74 km.
