Florence
From the sitting room and double bedroom, the view runs across the Arno to the Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi and the Cathedral.
The villa
An 80 sq m apartment in a riverside palazzo whose structure dates to the 15th century, remodelled in the 19th. Light parquet, china blue walls and antique furniture give it the feel of a private Florentine home. Lift and daytime porter.
Inside
A square hallway with a painted cupboard and a table that doubles as a dining table. The sitting room, in red, cream and navy, looks over the river. The double bedroom shares that view and has an en suite shower room behind a painted cupboard. The twin bedroom overlooks the terraced gardens of Via de' Bardi, next to a bathroom with tub and the blue and terracotta kitchen.
Location
On Lungarno Torrigiani, on the south bank of the Arno in the Oltrarno quarter. One side of the building faces Via de' Bardi, the other the river, the Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi.
